We're starting a newsletter. "Boards weekly" is, as you probably guessed, a weekly dose of surfboards in your inbox. It's a different take on why we started building Dedica. The purpose of the newsletter is to talk about surfboards. We want to bring you the news, the releases, the reviews and hopefully a sense of community if you need help on your board decisions.

The surfboard world is moving at a fast pace and it's difficult to stay on top of all the action. Over the year, we'll bring you the perfect amount of surfboard information.

Noel Salas talks about surfboard volume
As expected, Noel has a preferred volume range and uses that in combination with dimensions and shape to choose a board. Noel shares his volume to weight ratio and how to adjust for skill-level. My volume with Noel's ratio is 29.66 (178 pounds / 6). It's close to what I'm riding, check below to see my boards (under António). Since I'm not at Noel's skill-level and not in shape I'm comfortable adding 1litre. He recommends for advanced surfers adding 1 to 2 liters. Intermediate add 3 to 4 litres. Beginner add 5 to 7 liters
